5 Years of Impact · Northeast Ohio · Every Child. Every Family. Every Year.
Laquetta Alisha Washington — Foundation Director — Appearing on New Day Cleveland
The Power of 3 Foundation is a grassroots community organization rooted right here in Northeast Ohio. We exist to make sure no child in the Greater Cleveland area faces the first day of school without the tools they need to succeed.
We show up at libraries, churches, block parties, and community events — connecting real families with real resources. When communities invest in their children, everyone rises.
Every backpack. Every supply. Every family connected. All of it is love in action.
March 10, 1993 — March 21, 2021
Larry grew up right here in Cleveland — a Cleveland Heights High School graduate who went on to earn both his Associate and Master's degrees from Cleveland State University.
When Larry passed in March 2021 at just 28 years old, his mother Ellenora, his sister Laquetta, his brother Curtis, and their community channeled their grief into purpose. The Power of 3 Foundation was born so children in the communities he loved have every chance to rise just as he did.
"His drive for education is why we show up every year. We give so others can go as far as he did — and further."
Real families. Real smiles. Real impact. This is what five years of community love looks like.
